“What evidence did they have that she was set on fire? Look at the picture of the vehicle aftermath, the front seat is pushed in. The car was crammed up the hill, the sides look wedged.
“What happened?”
“Who did this?”
She responds “Eric this”
Then everyone starts to add words to what she said.
I bet that with her burned tongue, they misheard, just like she told the first responders her name was Jessica Thambers.
She probably said, “ I wrecked this” , “I wreck’d” she couldn’t enunciate her lips burnt they heard Eric, they heard what they wanted to hear instead of “Iwreckedit”
They need to re-examine the accident scene 5 years later, but with photos and measurements they would be able to do it.
