Description
In this episode of Untidy we talk to Dr Ellen Joan Ford, the powerhouse behind the movement, #workschoolhours. In this conversation, we talk about the ‘juggle struggle’ and what we can do as individuals, organisations, and a society to bring about a revolutionary way of working for parents that respects their family priorities, while also making strong commercial sense for employers. Dr Ellen Joan Ford is ambitious about changing the working world. And it’s difficult to fault her logic or resist her enthusiasm. There is hope! Ellen helps organisations to improve staff wellbeing, retention, leadership, productivity, innovation and business performance. Her experience is in leadership, as well as gender, well-being and the future of work. She has led troops in the NZ Army, completed an MBA and PhD in leadership, runs her own business, and is raising two little boys. Ellen was awarded the Kiwi Bank New Zealander of the Year 2023 ‘Local Hero’ for coordinating a volunteer team that evacuated 563 people from Afghanistan to New Zealand. She is a force to be reckoned with!
