‘Star of the New Decade’ was Manilyn Reynes’ moniker in the 80s and 90s, a time when she dominated Philippine television, movies and music charts. Now, she is a weekly fixture in comedy television as Elsa, wife of Pepito Manaloto.  “Noon, nagma-matter ang oras,” Manilyn says as she talked about how the 80s was also a time when actors and actresses knew what discipline meant.  The bigger the star, the earlier they came on set, according to her. Now, as the senior in the cast, she is not one to tell her co-stars off no matter how late or unprepared they are when they arrive. But she admits to Nelson Canlas that she has her own brand of dealing with unprofessional people.
