Great interview. However, when Van mentions that black folks need to work together this advance the black community and mentioning that we should go to the NAACP awards and the Oscars etc I agree with him. I was surprised to hear that while mentioned all of these entities he didn’t state that black folks should attend hbcus. For me, you can’t mention the empowerment of black people without including education and by default, the importance of attending historically black colleges and universities. He and others needs to include these glorious institutions in these conversations. Great show but disappointed that he didn’t mention these institutions of higher learning.

I was looking forward to hearing Mr. Whitlock’s point of view and get an understanding of how he thinks. I think the interview was too combative on Van’s part and we missed a lot of explanation from Mr. Whitlock. Next time if there is one let your opponent speak more so we understand.
