“I usually don’t write reviews. But I’m inspired by this podcast every time I listen. And after being a regular listener for over a year, I figure it’s time to say something. The host has a talent for finding the inspirational elements from the stories and stars of the golden age. Even if I didn’t love old Hollywood, I would enjoy listening to Shannon’s uplifting take on the lives of these stars. Sidney Poitier, James Stewart, Katharine Hepburn, Doris Day…I’ve never heard their lives presented so factually, and in such an inspirational light. If, like me, you find learning about classic Hollywood’s “deep dark secrets” old hat; if you’re done with all the negative, depressing, and highly political “entertainment” out there, then this is the podcast for you. Listen to be inspired, listen because you love old Hollywood, or both. We need more positive voices out there—we need more podcasts like this one.”
