“The premise is promising but I couldn’t get past the first episode when the main character randomly breaks out in random chinese. Non-English native speakers do not randomly speak phrases in their native language when they’re speaking English the rest of the time. Also the voice actor who randomly blurts out chinese is very obviously not a native speaker and the pronunciation is not great. The whole thing is a huuuuge break in my ability to submerge myself as a native Chinese speaker into the fiction of the world which is a shame. Get rid of random and gratuitous foreign language or at least consult non-English speakers about how they use English vs other languages in their daily lives and revise your script’s dialogue accordingly.”
