Decent Conversation - with a double standard
All in all, it’s a good show. I like the balance of life and technology. Something caught my ear on episode 75, specifically 16 minutes, 25 seconds into the episode, Dave Wiskus makes a tasteless joke comparing religion with humans being hacked. “We [humans] can already be hacked through social engineering, convincing people to do things they wouldn’t otherwise do...it happens in mass all the time, Sunday morning.” What is most disappointing about this, is that this show has an honorable historic precedent for advocating for tastefulness and equality, particularly in gender and sexual preference. I don’t know what’s more sad, that Dave openly spits in the face of this standard, or that Georgia and Rene let him get away with (in fact Rene laughs). I don’t hear any gay jokes, or jokes about women in the workplace. And not that I would expect to, I absolutely don’t. And up until this episode, I held Vector in much higher regard.

In the latest episode the panel condemns all murder especially murder performed in the name of religion but seems to forget that America still has capital punishment in 38 states and the US military. Double standards?
