Young women in power: how Sienna ran for local government at just 19 years old
Listen now
Description
Between studying law and global studies, working as a legal assistant and having a thriving vegan foodie page on Instagram, Sienna Watson squeezed us in to chat about running for local council at the age of 19. We chat about working with the Animal Justice Party, and starting conversations about politics while living in conservative areas of Melbourne. I learned so much from this conversation about how the AJP works, the ins and outs of running for council and why it’s important for young women to be in positions of power. You can connect with Sienna on her foodie Instagram page - @passtheparsleyy.  Mentions in this episode:  Nomo chocolate @nomochocolate Vego bar @vego_chocolate Kresho bar @kreshobar Yulin dog festival - info (not pleasant) Animal Justice Party - info Kate Ellis - Sex Lies and Question Time Julia banks - Power Play
