Mr. Bender earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign, Illinois. He performed his graduate work on a U.S. Air Force Office of Scientific Research grant in ground-based laser space propulsion, using a 10Kw CO2 laser to heat flowing Argon in a plasma chamber rocket engine simulator. Afterwards, Mr. Bender took a position with a fortune 500 company in R&D. There he worked numerous commercial and military projects developing technologies for products and manufacturing that included solid state accelerometers for inertial terran and space navigation, fuzing for catapult launched fuel air explosives and bunker busting ordnance, solid state pressure sensor design and manufacturing for jet engine control, aircraft avionics, and commercial plant process controls to name a few. Because of his creative penchant for thinking outside the box, he became an expert at technology integration for leveraging legacy systems. After 14 years Mr. Bender left the company to start an engineering consulting business to conduct computation intensive forensic analyses and remediation of failed mechanical systems for large commercial fabricators of bulk food and agri-business processing equipment, bio-medical device manufacturers, firearms manufacturers, etc. During this latter 13-year period, Mr. Bender began developing an interest in firearm design after his son experienced an unfortunate firearm related accident while a youngster. This led eventually to a solicitation before equity investors in January of 2011 regarding manufacturing startup funding for a large caliber semi-auto firearm he had developed. The outcome of that meeting was not equity funding of the rifle technology, but rather their advice that Mr. Bender start a company to manufacture and sell the novel firearm fire-control developed for that rifle adapted to the AR15 platform for immediate commercial leverage. So, within two weeks of that meeting, Mr. Bender organized the LLC and filed the first HIPERTOUCH trigger patent application. Mr. Bender has turned his creative energies to the development and sales of new MSR products that are protected by US patents and that feature demonstrable performance improvements to the state of art. Since that beginning, HIPERFIRE and its brand have been lauded by competitive 3 Gun shooters for performance and reliability. Its products are made in the USA. The company is debt free and self-funding in R&D, manufacturing, marketing and sales.   Brian Schmittdiel Bio Brian Schmittdiel is the Operations Manager of HIGH PERFORMANCE FIREARMS LLC d/b/a HIPERFIRE. Brian was introduced to firearms at an early age, growing up in an avid hunting family in a rural town in South Dakota, and learning firearms safety at the age when most children were learning how to ride a bike. Brian still has a passion for hunting and the outdoors, and he will continue that tradition with his two sons. Brian enlisted in the US Air Force shortly after graduating high school, where he served four years on active duty. While on active duty, he participated in a program called Phoenix Raven serving in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
