Growing up in a violent and abusive home was just the beginning of PTSD for Cheryl. They called the abuse love and at 6 years old she stood on a ledge contemplating suicide. Between her 6 year old logic and hearing "God is love" Cheryl survived her childhood. As an adult she tried putting her past behind her saying it didn't matter anymore, but it did matter. Oh in so many ways. Cheryl got the help she needed and now helps other women own the truth and heal. Bio: Reverend Cheryl Kincaid is a Presbyterian Minister who studied Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel Seminary and a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. She has facilitated support groups for women survivors of abuse. She has twenty years of ministry experience, and she confesses that many of her stories were inspired from witnessing God’s healing in wounded Christian’s lives, including her own.
