Growing up in a home filled with abuse Karen got to a point she couldn't take it anymore. At the age of 12 she attempted suicide, but failed. She was angry at first. But while lashing out to God about why she was still alive she had an amazing moment she calls a God moment. She received a sense of peace and purpose that empowered her to live. The abuse didn't stop but she did escape, running away a year or so later. That was not without it's difficulties either, but God provided people to help her along the way. It was a long messy road, and it took a lot of work to overcome and thrive. She wants others to know there is hope, and they can heal, thrive, and even dream.
