Italia 90...
My first proper World Cup, who could forget Rudi Vollers Rijkaard gob earring, Gascoignes tears (a lot of fluids lost in this World Cup) and Englands ultimate tragic finale, that has cast their narrative for the last 30 years. This is a great podcast, a proper in-depth look at all things Italia 90, a must for anyone who gets a lump in a throat listening to Nessun Dorma.

More reviews of Vincerà! The story of Italia '90
Been looking forward to this for months. Decent first episode with some good recollections, but hopefully future episodes feature better audio quality - sounds like the guests are phoning in direct from 1990.

Such an enjoyable preview to what promises to be an outstanding series. Some great tales and info already. Can't wait for the rest.Read full review »

A perfect snapshot of the summer of 1990 - football, politics, society in the pivotal year, just after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The last genuinely romantic World Cup - the next one in 1994 marks the beginning of the commercialisation of football.
