The music artist detailed his upbringing in Alabama and Tennessee, highlighting his rebellious teenage years filled with skateboarding, drugs, and evading trouble with the law. Continuing to develop his sound while living in an Alabama trailer park, Yelawolf eventually moved to Atlanta and signed with Ghetto Vision Entertainment. After gaining a buzz through hooks and merging rock, country, and rap, he secured a major deal with Interscope through the release of his "Trunk Muzik" mixtape.
