“If you are a Gargoyles fan for life like I am, this is an invaluable show. Every episode, in fact every moment in every episode gets in depth analysis and back story from the hosts with creator Greg Weisman. I have sincerely enjoyed binging this podcast for the past month and it’s reignited my fandom. I have one criticism and that is production quality. I do a podcast myself for several years so I know about this and I’m hardly rolling in money (I’m broke). I really think after a few episodes, once everyone has committed to this show long term, some decent sounding microphones should have been purchased for the three regulars. It’s understandable that guests would be Zooming in, but the three hosts are creating countless hours of content, and having relatively nice, warm-sounding microphones makes such a world of difference. I was actually getting ear fatigue from binging it because of the harsh trebly Zoom and phone quality. This is the definitive audio documentary on Gargoyles, it should honor that responsibility by sounding like a professional podcast. Along those lines, the show needs better, more thoughtful editing. Awkward pauses, coughing, often-repeated stories, random weird audio artifacts plague this thing, and it’s so easy to just take the little scissors in your audio software and snip it out. The show is tight and focused, but the weird bits make it feel like it is uncared for, if not checked before publication. Hope you don’t mind my criticism. I absolutely love the show and thank you for it. I think it can be so much more polished. Send Greg a mic, for god’s sake!”
