“Finally I am hearing answers to my dilemma about Christianity vs. follower of Jesus. I have a son with a mental illness and there seems to be no margin for him in the church. I know Jesus would have hung out with him because Jesus hung out with all the marginalized people of His day. I don’t believe the followers of Jesus were referred to as Christians. Were’t they called His disciples? I would rather live my life as a disciple instead of referenced as a Christian.”
