“I love hearing poets discuss the ideas and themes that pursue them in their work, and the way that they speak so strikingly about the most ordinary things. Often what I find in poetry podcasts is something excessively formal, dry, and pedantic, capturing little of the vitality that I associate with poetry. The Poetry Gods was the first poetry podcast that I connected with and VS exists very much in the same spirit. Danez and Franny have wonderful chemistry as hosts, and I so enjoy how they approach their guests as dear friends and big fans.
