“I listened to the Holly Madison episode and I could NOT get through it. HM has SUCH an interesting story but Christy Carlson Romano has NO idea how to conduct an interview. She is OBVIOUSLY unprepared - she hasn’t read HMs books, she hasn’t listened to other interviews, she hasn’t even rewatched GND episodes recently. She is basing the whole interview on minor perceptions that are 20 years old. Instead, she is constantly interrupting and going on unimportant tangents. Relating in to a interviewee can be really powerful but she is constantly trying to relate about minutiae that isn’t particularly important (no one cares that you almost went to LMU. No one cares about your hot take that higher education doesn’t matter).
A good interview will get at parts of an experience that aren’t already known. Everything in this interview are already public and things HM has already discussed. Don’t waste your time!!!”
