Episode 112: The Wicker Man
Listen now
Description
This episode, the Spoop Bois Aaron and Derek cover 1973's British folk horror classic "The Wicker Man" directed by Robin Hardy. They spend a lot of time comparing and contrasting Sgt. Neil Howie and Lord Summerisle and how both are presenting dubious, religious exteriors. They also talk about the influence the film had on folk horror and pop culture, the creation of the fictious community, the menacing acting presence of Sir Christopher Lee, the wild mess of a remake, among many other aspects of the movie. Derek is fine, but his acceptability is limited. Aaron is even better, but not nearly as effective as the right kind of podcaster.Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/WatchIfYouDareWe are on PodBean, Apple Podcasts, Podchaser, Goodpods, Amazon Music, Google, Stitcher, Spotify, and CastBox.
