“As a hardcore Kanye fan, I find myself cringing at this show. It’s embarrassingly over-analytical, assigning symbolism and metaphor to everything Kanye does. Instead of assigning meaning to every move Kanye makes like he’s some deity, it would be much more interesting to have overarching discussions about the music, influences, collaborators, creative process. Instead we get a middle school book report on Kanye lyrics as if he were Herman Melville.”
