The Rise and Fall of the Council House
Really enjoyed this episode. I grew up in Harlow and talking with friends who also grew up there, it’s only now that we realise how revolutionary it was. Families moved to Harlow through a variety of employers and had employment and their own house. Second generation Harlowites could apply for a council flat, and many got one - unheard of nowadays. Unfortunately the town is now run down with a poor reputation and very limited public housing as it was all sold off.

More reviews of We Are History
Grab a beer and play Brexit bingo. They will mention it even if taking about Romans. Interesting podcast about history from two very enthusiastic hosts.

Wish I’d listened to the Sealand episode before I filled out my census 😂
