His illustrious athletic career saw him break records and secure silver and bronze medals at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics. Richard's tireless advocacy for accessibility and equality earned him accolades such as the Life Membership of Wheelchair Sports NSW in 2011 and Australian Sports Medal in 2000. And, for over 30 years, Richard has also been a birdwatcher.
