Fabulous
This takes me to the locations discussed. I can smell the dank muddy reeds, imagine the dappled sun, see the ripples on the sand. Somehow the way the experts and enthusiasts describe the birds, songs and surroundings brings these Australian sites to life. I’ve been to a lot of similar areas over the years, and although I love to walk through and observe nature, I’ve missed the details that birdwatchers catch and that enliven their stories. Love too to hear how farmers and communities work actively with naturalists to maintain bird populations and are thereby enriched.
