39. How to Elevate a Property Development Project: Key Investments

Description
I'm about to take a holiday. Since I started my podcast on the 1st of September, I decided to follow the academic year. With the school year drawing to a close, I'm wondering if I should cover July as well or just stick to the traditional school calendar. I already have ideas for the next season, but I recognise the necessity of taking a break. Projects, like people, sometimes need a pause to recharge, reassess priorities, and start anew with a fresh perspective. Recently, I spoke with a friend about the quality of interior design projects in different places. While there are impressive projects in Spain, cities like London seem to integrate luxury and attention to detail in property developments more seamlessly. A prime example is the Candy brothers and their revolutionary approach with One Hyde Park.  Key Investments to Transform Your Interior Design Project In my podcast, I aim to help those without access to an interior designer enhance their projects. Today, I’ll share some key investments that can transform a project: 1. The Kitchen: The Heart of the Home    The kitchen is fundamental. The right colours and quality appliances can work wonders. Appliances, in particular, make a significant difference in the buyer's perception. High-end brands ensure functionality and quality, essential for attracting discerning clients. 2. The Splashback: A Key Visual Element    While the countertop must be practical and durable, the splashback, visible in the line of sight, has a great aesthetic impact. Taking the time to choose the right splashback can transform the kitchen’s appearance. 3. Door Handles: Details That Make a Difference    Door handles are crucial and usually do not require a large investment. Well-chosen handles can significantly enhance the design and feel of a project. 4. Taps: Cohesion and Style    Harmony between taps and handles in terms of style and material brings peace and visual stability to a project. I've mentioned several key points, but the most important are harmony and coherence in design. Elements like handles and taps, though small, can transform a space if chosen correctly. Thank you to everyone who listens and supports this podcast. If you have questions or topics you’d like me to discuss, please let me know. Do you have questions about design? Send them to me, and I’ll answer them in upcoming episodes! Thank you so much for stopping by to listen. Miriam Prada A bit about me... I am a Building Engineer and interior designer, specializing in high-end projects. With 15 years of experience in the design industry, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a wide range of clients, including developers, builders, real estate agents, entrepreneurs, and private clients. I've successfully completed over 25 projects in seven different countries (Spain, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, India, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and Switzerland) and have had the pleasure of working with clients from 11 nationalities. My most valuable project to date exceeds £50 million, and one of my notable achievements was designing a development of 16 apartments where the penthouse set a historic record as the highest-priced one-bedroom per square meter in the history of Westminster, London. Currently based in London, I continue working on multiple local and international projects. Leveraging the capabilities of the digital world, I've produced and launched this podcast, 'Atelier Prada,' where, in a relaxed and colloquial way, I address various topics in the world of interior design with the goal of sharing some of the knowledge acquired over these years.
