Plant Spirit Fibers with Jennifer Johnson
Listen now
Description
Last year I met several plant artists, and I can’t wait to share with you the beauty and healing powers of their creations. Jennifer Johnson is a plant dye fiber artist, a farmer and a medicine maker. Over a decade ago, she discovered how to use plants for natural dye and as a result found her path and passion. Jennifer creates beautiful and unique botanical prints and plant dyed fiber art. Her family runs a single source dye farm. This is where they organically grow all the plants used to make incredible vibrant colors calling them “farm grown color”. The botanical prints Jennifer creates are also made using fresh plants. Each piece is inspired by nature and captures a season in time. Some of the major takeaways from our discussion: What does it mean to wear your medicine How can plants be used as natural dyes, where can someone get started Why plant art can help you to uncover a deeper way of healing Show Notes: https://plantloveradio.com/61 To participate in a giveaway of a gorgeous mini plant dyed silk scarf, visit https://ko-fi.com/plantloveradio
