“Hey Dusty and Hannah. I love your guys’ podcast. I really enjoyed that last bit in Episode 71 about the similarities between Jewish and Cherokee words and traditions. I remember being taught in school about how people first came to the American continent thousands of years ago (as you mentioned) via a frozen Bering Strait. However, there is another “theory” (or rather a theology) that teaches of the distinct relationship between the ancient Jews and Native Americans. I won’t go into great detail here because I don’t wanna sound too much like a religious zealot, as I am a believer in this theology. But it teaches that a small group of Jews were led by God from Jerusalem to this continent around 600 BC and that they are among the ancestors of whom we know today as the Native Americans. So it wasn’t too surprising to me to hear of the similarities that some Cherokee words and traditions share with Jewish ones. Anyway, keep it up, and I can’t wait to hear how your new yard glider turns out.”
