Thank you, Tyler.
I’ve listened to thousands of short stories in podcast form since the summer of my discontent in 2015. Some are darkly amusing, some hulking beneath the surface with an unseen dénouement or unrealized relatability. Many are awkward and stilted, with too much homage or substance of their writer to move freely. When they whisper in your ear, it is flinching and graceless. Unwelcome. Tyler Bell’s stories are spare, sensual, melancholy. I am there with them, in them, feeling them. They sidle up beside me and gesture here, there, and I can see it. There’s no formula, only the characters and their voices. The smells of their breath. The vast gray of their experience does not preach or pontificate, choosing instead to disinfect with indirect light. The light of the reader’s making, their conclusions, their thoughts and lenses and foibles. The descents are not messages of doom and gloom, but fables of missteps. Thank you. I’ll see you on Patreon.

Got here through Dark Topic. I dug this guy in his interview and I decided to give him a try. Now binging his podcast and I’m not disappointed. If you like writers and writing, do it. You wouldn’t be here if it all had to be rated G.
