“I can’t deny that the vast majority of these people are creeps, but in at least a couple episodes it is either implicitly or explicitly expressed that being pro-life, or conservative, or a conservative Christian is a part of what makes some of these people creeps or jerks. What makes them creeps or a jerk is the way they actually treat people. Listen, I love John Oliver, so I can stand listening to a liberal joke around, but this comes off as a “you’ll only like some of our opinions if you agree with our politics and beliefs. Otherwise, you are quite possibly a jerk or creep”. Thaaaaat kind of makes you a jerk.”
