Climate change isn’t going away - do better!
I was a What A Day fan, but the last year or so I’ve been so incredibly disappointed, and honestly embarrassed, by their terrible ability to report on climate change. There have been a number of instances of inaccurate reporting on things related to climate — so blatantly misrepresented that it was clear they read one headline and that was it. I don’t know who does the prep/fact checking for What A Day but your climate info is not it. For example, a couple of months ago the show reported that American’s don’t care about climate change and that’s actually not true at all, not according to the data. And if you had even looked at the Yale Program on Climate Communications (one of the leading resources on how to talk about/educate on climate change) or really any other experts on the topic, you would have learned that. And now we’re learning that Crooked squashed Hot Take? I’m so disappointed and honestly just don’t get it. Climate change is only getting worse and it’s not going away. So why wouldn’t Crooked try to get better at reporting on it and even motivate individuals to act (like they have on so many other pressing issues)? Incredibly disappointing to learn about this side of their business. Truly thought they were the “good guys” if you will. But it seems like it is just all politics with this company.

The one minute trailer made me realize I need Akilah Hughes in my podcast feed. The Gideon fella seems likable enough.

If you want to compete with The Daily, drop all the silly jokes. We’re listening to this to get a quick new update, not to hear corny jokes about pop culture! Also, holy ad overload in such a short podcast!
