S3 Ep10 Adam Horwitz
Listen now
Description
Today, we got my brother, Dr. Adam Horwitz on the pod! Adam is a clinical psychologist and assistant professor at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in their psychiatry department. His Psychology career has combined several different elements– research, clinical work and therapy with patients, teaching and lecturing, and much more. Some of his areas of interest and focus include cognitive and behavioral risk factors associated with suicidal behavior, trauma-focused therapy with veterans, and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) for mood and anxiety disorders.  In this episode, Adam shares with us a bit about how he compartmentalizes the difficult subject matter he deals with in his work, tells us how he overcame his own imposter syndrome when starting off in his career, and tells us how we can use values as opposed to goals to help us navigate our careers.  Here is my amazing brother, Dr. Adam Horwitz!
