Whisper it quietly but Michael Beale's Sunderland are starting to look pretty damn good - which is just fantastic! A bland first half became an excellent second half as the Lads pieced together their best performance under the new head coach since he took charge and long may it continue. Brad and Lee join me to talk about all the good stuff from another lovely Sunderland supporting weekend. Enjoyed the episode? The Lads return to the Wearside this week as we welcome Plymouth Argyle to the Stadium of Light for a lovely Saturday 3pm kick off. We only met in November but both sides will have new men in the dugout as they clash again, so there's lots of new things to discuss as both team look to continue unbeaten league runs. The excellent Ben from the Green and White podcast joins me to fill us in on the new manager, the recent good run of form and why Argyle will present a different task for the Lads...

Nazzy Rusyn bags, Sunderland grab a late point and it appears to have been a good weekend. The Tees-Wear clash left a lot of thoughts, both positive and negative, but ultimately there were some positives to take as the little Ukraine nabbed us a deserved share of the spoils. Dave Lawrence joins me to run over the weekend result. Enjoyed the episode? Follow us at @WhatTheFalkPod, or like and subscribe via your favourite podcast app. #SAFC #MFC #EFLChampionship

It was an unexpectedly cracking weekend for Sunderland against Stoke - but will it be a flash in the pan or can we go for two wins on the bounce? Sunderland's visiting contingent will know it has been a while since we took points at the Riverside, so perhaps it needs to a positive performance for more reasons than one. Can we do it? Boro have been hard to judge this year so we roped in one of our favourite guests in the shape of Jonny from The Boro Breakdown to give us the lowdown on the...

Just when you expect implosion, Sunderland give you near perfection and make light work of Stoke City. The day didn't come without drama but thankfully there was little to be found on the pitch as goals from Mason Burstow, Abdullah Ba and Pierre Ekwah ensured we took a comfortable 3-1 win on Wearside. Ross, Brad and Lee all joined to cover over the various talking points in another bumper episode alongside all your questions and the good, the bad and the Trai Hmmm. Enjoyed the episode? Follow...

For Stoke, the bad man Alex Neil is gone but for us...the Beale remains as Sunderland season looks set to slide. Michael Beale will be hoping he can silence some critics this week and mastermind a victory over a manager who was appointed on the same day as he was last month. To chat over how Alex Neil's reign came to an end, how Steven Schumacher is faring in his opening games and why Lynden Gooch is just great, Stoke City reporter Pete Smith joined me for a chin wag. It wasn't a good Friday at the SOL as Sunderland once again came out of a live Sky Sports game with a defeat. The pleasure has turned up on Michael Beale as the bulk of fans begin to call for his head. Will the life continued to be sucked out of SAFC or will the board send him packing? Me, Brad and Dave discuss the 1-0 defeat and the on going malaise that we can only pray ends soon. Enjoyed the episode? The weeks seem to be getting tougher and the fanbase more restless but as we welcome an out of form Hull City, there's nothing a win can't fix...for a little bit. Hull, however, have a notoriously decent record at the SOL and are pushing for a play off themselves as they get set to welcome back arguably their best player. The always excellent Ant from award winning Hull City podcast To Hull And Back joins me to give us the full lowdown on the Tigers. Enjoyed the episode? Follow us at...

Sunderland lost 2-1 at Ipswich, which in essence isn't the worst result - so why is everyone so bloody frustrating? It's a sweary episode that we know not everyone is going to like but we can only speak with our heart and hopefully it resonates. Myself, Ross and Dave join to chat about the game for a wee bit, take listeners questions and go on big ass rants. Soz. Enjoyed the episode? After the erm...excitement of the FA Cup, it is back to league duty this week as second place Ipswich host Bealey's boys at Portman Road. Rotherham United may be rock bottom but they did a number on Middlesbrough themselves on Boxing Day and are in dire need of the points for very different reasons. Thank fully we have Matt from the superb New York Talk to let us know exactly what we can expect from the Millers this Friday night. Enjoyed the episode? Follow us at @WhatTheFalkPod, or like and...

How's the nerves? Holding up well I hope. After 1000 years apart, Wearside will face Newcastle in the FA Cup 3rd round at the Stadium of Light. Dear me. Who thought I'd ever invite one of them on? Happy new year Sunderland fans. It has been a little dull recently but can we be welcomed into 2024 with some hope on the 1st of Jan? Preston are having a bit of a sticky patch themselves after an explosive start to the season and will head to the SOL knowing a win is needed to keep the pressure off Ryan Lowe. My old pal Tom Sandells, Preston fan, former Preston writer and just a very cool bloke joined me to give us the full lowdown on what we can expect from PNE this Monday. Enjoyed the...

Michael Beale's red and white's stutter on and we tried to chat about things despite one of the season's most drab games. Jack Clarke saved us once again on the road as the glorious left winger planted home a late equaliser to save us from a fruitless journey to New York...no, not that one. Its just me and Ross this week and I had a few too many whiskeys. Listen if you want. Enjoyed the episode?
