“Latest episode in regards to telehealth the statement was made “If you have seniors that can use FaceTime or other platforms, surely anyone can learn to do it!” Incredibly condescending towards the senior population. I’m a 30 something and my former 69 yo female chaplain coworker was constantly troubleshooting minor computer issues for our entire team. It seems that ageism truly is the last “ism” that is acceptable. I hope by the time I’m a senior I’m not flippantly dismissed just as women and minorities and LGBTQ persons were until recently.
Otherwise, good podcast. Just embarrassing to hear a health professional speak in such an ageist manner.”
