“The content covered is interesting; but the hosts make it hard to listen to. In some episodes when one of the two narrates, the other simply interjects with endless “oh really? No way!” that don’t add much. They lost me with the episode on the Wizard of Oz and their endless presentism. Child-actors were not well treated, nor were many actors for that matter, but those were the rules at the time (to be fair, Chris Winterbauer, the more level-headed of the two hosts, reminds the audience of that). Instead of judging the past, why not state how things were and mention who fought for their change? Insert a bit of history in there? The final comments about not judging young artists who suffered from the fame was also rather pathetic.”
