“The narrators tell the story of how this movie was made in loving detail. They start with who James Cameron (Director) is and what he worked on before. Then they get into the concept of the movie, the actors, studio expectations, etc. It’s almost half way through the podcast, after they have carefully set the stage, that they get into the stories of what went wrong on set, the cost overruns, and personality issues. A lot went wrong. Perhaps my favorite line from Lizzie was “There was no acting required for this movie... they’re so scared.”
They make the story of the movie really interesting. It’s obvious that they’ve done a ton of research, and their presentation is meticulous. I’ve never seen The Abyss although I may have seen virtually every other movie James Cameron has made. Now I have to rectify that!”
