“I’ve been listening to this podcast since the rise of AEW. (I started watching WWE again too, but had to stop due to treatment of the Fiend. I’m a long term storytelling kind of guy)
Normally, this podcast is one of the most insightful podcasts on wrestling. They analyze segments excellently but still find a way to have me smiling and laughing like an idiot while out running errands. I don’t even mind that I look like a crazy person.
Recently though, I find myself skipping episodes if AEW has even one bad segment because I know it will just be upsetting to listen to. This past week I was shocked because what I thought was an excellent AEW episode that had me on a high forced me to skip three of these podcast episodes in a row for hearing how awful the episode was in the first few minutes. Perhaps Simon Miller can host a seminar with everyone about positivity? Or at least on negative hyperbole? Wrestling fans seem to be pretty toxic on the internet and stuff like this isn’t helping.
I will happily amend this review to five stars when/if the exaggerated negativity disappears. Otherwise, it’s going to be an unsubscribe for me.”
