“The subject of the first episode offered a chance to really explore new ground (which is unusual for any Diana story) however the focus seemed to be more about the story of being a minority in the UK (which I would have enjoyed a separate episode of its own for sure). I felt it diluted this episode which was meant to be on motherhood. Diana’s own relationship with her mother/grandmother etc would have been rich pickings but not touched on.”
