Description
Today's episode of Where do I go from here? is with the incredible Attracta Gill, a renowned psychotherapist with years of experience in the field of trauma, and in this episode, she opens up about her personal story with childhood trauma. Attracta shares her story of dealing with childhood abuse and how this experience led her to become a psychotherapist who specialises in this area. When we experience traumatic past events, this trauma still lives in our nervous system for years and years unless we do the inner work to deal with it. Attracta explains how she faced the adversity, did the years of work, and is so happy with her life now. For anybody who is listening and has experienced childhood trauma, the past is not in the past, but the worst has already happened, and you survived it. The war is over, the body doesn't know it yet, but it will get to know it, and you are going to be okay! Attracta also wanted to give a special mention and appreciation for David Boadellas' method 'Biosynthetic Somatic Psychotherapy.'
