“Finally. Maybe with two big names like Rob Reiner and Soledad O’Brien helming this production, the truth will come out. I was 8 years old when JFK was murdered, and my memories of the day are crystal clear. Like Rob Reiner, and like children across the US, I was watching the news with my family when Oswald was shot by Ruby on TV. Something you don’t forget.
Recently, I’ve been watching online videos of the old game show “What’s My Line?” from the 1950s and early 60s, which feature journalist Dorothy Kilgallen as a regular panelist. While doing so, suggested videos started to appear that link Kilgallen’s mysterious 1965 death with the president’s assassination. It seems that, two years after the murder, Kilgallen was about to publish her own investigation into the killing — via the publisher Random House, which was run by another regular “What’s My Line?” panelist, Bennett Cerf. Then, Kilgallen was found dead in her apartment, and there was no trace of her research or her manuscript to be found. I’d just finished watching one of these videos about Kilgallen and, of course, Apple Podcasts suggested this new series. All I can say is: wow.
Clear, lucid, and logical, the two episodes available so far are impressive. It’s been obvious for decades that there was much amiss about the Warren Commission report. While it’s mind bending to hear this presentation, I believe it’s essential. I both dread and can’t wait for the next episode.”
