“Just got through listening to the Mulan episode and spent a lot of it shaking my head and disagreeing with a lot of their opinions of the film, given that I personally found the camera cuts to be a headache, the changes to be an eyesore, and the fact that the production leads were all white (the lead costume designer even admitted that she did most of her research at a museum), and it’s my opinion after listening to historians and Chinese/Chinese-Americans air their grievances that it’s an objectively bad movie....... but, despite how I feel, and the surprise I had listening to the episode, I didn’t once feel like I wanted to stop listening, because you guys are ALWAYS a delight to listen to, and even when I disagree, I always find your opinions to be insightful and interesting to hear out. Thanks for always being there to challenge opinions!
