Description
Scottish property expert, podcaster and entrepreneur Steven Clark joins John Paul in this episode of Why I Do It. Together, they discuss the benefits of turning your passion into your income, why creating a strong network of people can massively expand your business opportunities and how to maintain a work life balance. KEY TAKEAWAYS Try and make your passion your income, that way you won't resent work. When you are working for the man, it doesn't matter how hard you work, you always get paid the same. You need to make sure you have the right network. Your business opportunities will massively expand when you surround yourself with the right people. They will open your eyes to new beginnings, new beliefs and can change everything for you. When you are surrounded by friends and family who are not in business it is hard to grow and expand your mindset. Being around hungry, passionate and driven people can help change your mindset and you will learn so much more than you could have ever imagined. You never know who you are going to meet within your network that you may end up doing a joint venture with. Being an entrepreneur allows you to be flexible and brings with it excitement as you do not know what is coming next for you. In order to get the right work life balance it is important to try and be present in the moment. If you are working, focus on your work and do not get distracted by social media or your phone. If you are with your family, don’t become distracted by work tasks or emails.   BEST MOMENTS “I always had a couple of passions that I just tried to turn into businesses.” “Within half an hour, the podcast was born.” “I wanted to be around people with fire.”   ABOUT THE GUEST Steven Clark: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/scottish-property-podcast/id1492953930 Steven Clark on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stevenclark84/ Email us:[email protected] ABOUT THE GUEST “Helping entrepreneurs build an audience on social media.” Website: https://samanthabrownlive.com/no-prep LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/samanthabrown/about/ ABOUT THE HOST John Paul Reilly A dyslexic businessman who left school just before his 16th birthday.
