“I love, love, LOVE listening to this podcast series with Ramona and Dale! Dale brings an unfiltered and authentic male/husband perspective and I love listening to both Ramona and Dale interact and laugh with each other- it just makes me happy! Their podcasts model respectful and joyful interactions in marriage and reminds me to laugh more often, especially with my husband. I love their very respectful responses to each other’s ideas (again- great modeling). I know they have not always had that joyful interaction (and because they are married, I know it is not always like that, but I am confident it is most of the time because of the skills they have learned and teach), but Ramona and Dale show what it can be and I appreciate their living example. Some of their podcasts have really helped me identify some of my true core needs and then be able to explain those needs to my husband in a respectful want. For example, in the criticism podcast (my fave so far and a MUST listen for everyone), Ramona teaches about one of my core needs as a woman is to have unity and partnership with my husband. Because my husband is very independent, he might be slightly irritated or think that I am indecisive at times when I seek unity with him, but because of the things Ramona shared on the podcast, I realized that this is one of my core needs as a woman- its part of my womanhood that helps me turn towards him and feel empowered when we are unified- and I don’t need to try and work around that need. Instead when I embraced that need for unity as one of my core needs and shared that need with him in a way he could understand that unity is one of my core needs, he was more respectful of my requests for unity and it has helped us be more united as we work towards solving problems or strategizing solutions for our family. This was truly a gift to better understand myself and then help him better understand me! This is just one of many examples but if you are looking for a podcast that is uplifting and will help you better understand, be more respectful of and better utilize men’s and women’s wonderfully unique, complementary and essential roles- then this podcast is for you!
