“But the ads are getting out of hand. I feel bait and switched. Seriously. The Sept 9th episode is 35:27 long and 8:38 of the episode is advertisements. That’s 24% of the episode devoted to ads. Absolutely ridiculous. The ads in-and-of themselves are a separate podcast. I appreciate that podcasting is a business, but come on.
Not only are the ads too long, they’re plain old bad, containing phrases such as “this is what it was like the first time I tried to trim my balls.” Maybe it’s time to rethink your approach. And this comes from a guy who uses Manscaped products.
I lost interest in the episode because of ads. I can look past the poorly scripted dialogue because I love the concept of this podcast and it’s young and I think the dialogue will improve, but I can’t justify listening at this point with the barrage of ads.”
