Wildcards, the best Deadlands Reloaded liveplay rpg out there!
I discovered the Wildcards through Twitch last year. As an avid rpg player, and lover of westerns, I immediately fell in with this show. Saving Throw Show (Twitter: @SavingThrowShow) consistently puts out great shows, and Wildcards is defiantly my favorite. They us the Deadlands Reloaded campaign setting with the Savage Worlds rulesets, and in the first episode, Season One Episode Zero, they spend time creating the characters and becoming familiar with the system and setting. Later episodes witll have them going forth on as a Posse and their amazing story. The gamemaster, Marshall in the Deadlands setting, is Jordan Caves-Callarman (Twitter: @jordancallarman). He admits in the beginning that he is an intermediate level gamemaster, but you could never tell. He might not do all of the elaborate voices of some liveplay tables, but he commits to the characters and shows he really wants his players to enjoy themselves. Three of the current four players are present for this first episode. One of the present players, Teline Guerra (Twitter: @telinemadethis, is not currently appearing on the show, having been replaced in the current seasons by Gaurav Gulati (Twitter: @DoubleGXG), who does not appear in this first episode. The other currently active players at the table are Jordan Pridgen (Twitter: @jordanpigeon, not at the table this episode) Dom Zook (Twitter: @GadZook) and Meghan Caves (Twitter: @meghancaves). The story line of the Deadlands is original, and Caves-Callarman is a wonderful storyteller. His players are imaginative and full of enthusiasm. One of the best issues with this series is, you can learn all about the Savage Worlds system, as he explains it as they create their characters. Is it worth it? Most certainly! Give it a download and sit back to enjoy. Originally broadcast on Twitch, the episodes sometimes feel a little strange listening to them, but it is only momentary. There are a few little issues with this first episode, but as a follower of them on Twitch I can tell you this is more than worth it. Download it now!
