Now, I feel every tick!
Daniel does such an awesome job researching, always thinking of the listener when recording, and keeping himself, his guest, and his listeners engaged. I have learned so much from listening to this that I feel like new worlds have opened up for me! And it’s only the beginning. If you’d like to start building a more credible relationship with the unique biodiversity that surrounds you, and things like hunting, fishing, foraging, good food or even food science/nutrition theory spark your interest, give this podcast a try. Daniel is so well-rounded in his views that you’ll feel like he’s talking to you directly at times, and is a wonderful teacher/communicator. At the same time, he is so open to learning, leveling and really trying to understand the words of those that come onto his show. I came here mostly to learn more about foraging for plants but I now see my relationship to the planet deepening thanks to this podcast. One episode about a man’s Sacred Hunt gave me the chills, and honestly, another episode featuring the wisdom of Sam Thayer made me cry. And the episode with Daniel’s lovely wife Avani was one packed with meat and potatoes for me—because I took their phrase and advice to heart! As an outdoor enthusiast of many years I’ve still battled a strange fear of ticks, but that didn’t seem to be a problem for me yesterday when I found two on my back after a jaunt in the woods and picked them off calmly and almost instinctively. “May you feel every tick” will be a thing I say to myself and my loved ones forever now! Thank you to Daniel and your team for making this podcast so fun to listen to, and making useful knowledge so accessible!
