Ultimately the point of this podcast seems to be to teach us all the insidious and unresolvable nature of conspiracies. That’s fine, but the host and his rich buddy come off as super privileged nerds “slumming” in the world of rock n roll. You also don’t really learn anything along the way that makes you think there’s any legitimacy to the conspiracy. You do get a couple fun interviews and interesting stories about the CIA along the way. There’s just far too little substance to justify the amount of resources that went into this “investigation,” just people who supposedly heard a rumor from a cia insider. The Scorpions, however, rise above this BS and come across as sincere entertainers who inspired a global audience. I’m not even a fan but respect them a lot after this.

Well produced,...Read full review »

It’s hard to take the story seriously for a few reasons - weird and almost childish storytelling, not much of a mystery and no hooks to make me want to come back for episode 2.
