I’m drawn into the unique world of Carole’s guests
Just listened to the newest episode of Carole’s podcast: “Tough Love: A Blind Man tells his story.” I am amazed and delighted once again to feel present with Carole’s guest — in this case a man navigating without the visuals we take for granted. I feel as if I’ve entered the daily reality of Josh Burch, as I hear Carole elicit the human side of his challenges, and as Josh highlights the tools and attitudes he has chosen in order to flourish in a world of sighted people. Carole has a palpable gift for empathy — She knows how to make her podcast feel safe and inviting for her guests. She knows how to elicit information in a non-didactic way that - for me- draws me in and educates me.
