***CONTENT WARNING*** This episode contains content about violence towards women and may be triggering for survivors of abuse. The safety of female travellers has been at the top of all discussions this week. I have briefly spoken about the scariest incident that I have had while travelling alone in previous episodes. I was woken by a threatening phone call to my room, I later learnt it was a staff member from the resort I was staying at. The resort was the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. When I started this podcast my aim was to be honest and open and not shy away from serious topics. Last week a woman released her horrific story of being brutally attacked at this same resort.  I have chosen to share more details about my experience at this resort in support of Tammy Lawrence-Daley. I do not believe the world is a scary place.
