Disappointing
The latest episode (on Naomi Wood/Lakeland Girls Academy) was ultimately just parroting an article. It was pretty clear very little effort was put into the research because the episode was littered with inaccuracies, including repeatedly calling the victim the wrong name (they also called the victim’s brother the wrong name every single time). They were willing to play “devil’s advocate” for the people responsible for this tragedy while veering into victim blaming on the CHILD victim. I can’t imagine they would want strangers detailing all their teenage antics and none of their good qualities if the same fate fell on them. They didn’t seem all that sympathetic or empathetic to the victim—who, again, was a child. Disrespectful, disengaged, disappointing.

The story telling is great, but the way that the ads are edited in are similar to how it feels to have a loud unexpected pop up. It’s always startling and sometimes frightening.

Would love to listen to the podcast but am tired of the constant interruptions by the other person talking or asking questions (co-host) . It’s distracting and hard to get into. It’s like they are showing off all their smart questions. I’ll find something else to listen too.
