Description
Heather Jackson is one of the best American Ironman athletes on the scene as well as a fan favorite. She has won numerous 70.3 and Ironman distance races over her 15 year career. She has place as high as 3rd in Kona at the Ironman World Championships. This year, Heather has dabbled in gravel bike racing as she looks to transition more towards gravel riding and ultrarunning.  She recently ran her very first ultra of any distance at the Javelina 100 mile. She ran an great race and finished 5th in one of the most competitive ultra races this season.  In this episode, we dive deep into her decision to race Javelina just a few weeks after completing Kona and one week after racing Big Sugar gravel race. We talk about her approach, how it went and what she learned along the way.
