She bravely shares her story in order to prevent as many children as possible from walking down the same path she did.    Sheri Lopez is the founder of the nonprofit Pearl at the Mailbox and a survivor of human trafficking. She was groomed and trafficked at the age of 15 in 1980, well before there was an “official” name for what was happening to her.
