Deitch and Brunt make the show
Although Bob was an icon, I have to admit that some of his schtick was starting to get long in the tooth. I find some of the same with Blair. Things he clearly think are hilarious just aren’t (e.g. his faux contrarianism with Deitch). He also seems to dismiss certain sports out of hand, which isn’t a good attribute for a national sports talk host. Bob was guilty of this too (e.g. soccer). However Deitch and Brunt are incredible additions. Deitch was always one of my favourite PTS guests. He’s always got interesting views, and it’s refreshing to have a non-Canadian perspective on issues. And Brunt is consistently excellent in everything he does. I could literally listen to him talk about any issue forever, and it would still be interesting. To be honest, if it weren’t for Deitch and Brunt, I would have stopped listening. I have to admit that I increasingly fast forward through some interview segments as the most interesting portions of the show are usually when Deitch/Brunt share their thoughts.

So glad I can get Jeff Blair and Stephen Brunt’s new show in podcast form. Their easy with each other and depth of knowledge about pretty well all sports make the show a must listen for me. Good guests too.

I really can’t stand that they cut a radio show in half to get more content, if you’re going to do it at least program your podcast to go to the next newest show not one I’ve already listened to. Mr Brunt is and has always been amazing to listen to, the other guy not so much.

Really enjoying the show, intelligent conversion and interesting points of view about sports. If they wanted to bring back Bob Ryan and Bob Elliott it would not break my heart.
